2025 Missions Conference

Each year we hold a missions conference to help us fulfill our mission of loving our world. Last year our theme was On Mission: Declaring His Glory Among the Nations.

Our 2025 missions conference takes place on February 12-23. Our theme is Pray the Lord of the Harvest. Watch for details on our conference offering, and registration for our ODBM golf tournament is now open. Our prayer is that the Lord will raise up gospel workers from our church family.

Our conference began Wednesday, Feb. 12 with a missions challenge in prayer meeting from ODBM assistant director Paul Fields (7 PM, Chapel). Paul covered several helpful prayer tools, and you can find some of them at the ODBM display table in the lobby.

Sunday, February 16

Missions displays will be in the lobby all week. Missionaries and guests speakers are also speaking in several Sunday school classes and small groups on Feb. 16 and 23. Check with your teacher or the Welcome Center if you’d like to hear from a certain missionary.

10 AM: We will celebrate Communion and hear a missions sermon from interim pastor Tony Miller.

5 PM: ODBM Hispanic church planter David Keiser will preach for us.

Our conference continues Wednesday, Feb. 19 with a missions challenge from ODBM Director Emeritus John Burnette (7 PM, Chapel).

Sunday, February 23

10 AM: ODBM Director (and missionary returning to the field) Dave Smith will preach for us.

9:00 AM & 11:15 AM: Several classes will have missionary speakers again. Check with your teacher or the Welcome Center.

5 PM: Our missions pastor Joe Henson will close the conference. Our life groups will combine on campus for our conference.

Conference Offering

Choose “Missions Conference Offering” at our giving page or designate it at the offering boxes.

In our conference offering, we would love to help with several projects. Some are too sensitive to list here, and you can find them at the ODBM display table in our lobby during the conference. But here are a few we can share publicly.

  1. Our MBC/ODBM church planter, Dr. Ryan Meers, who pastors the Redeeming Grace Baptist Church in Lincoln, Nebraska, needs a new sound system for the church - $1,500.

  2. MBC/ODBM Missionary Pastor David Keiser’s wife, Roxanna, needs a new laptop ($2,000) for ministry, and their church (Matthews, NC) needs a Yamaha upright piano ($3,000).

  3. The medical needs for Bryn Gleiser as she battles cancer. Andy, Bryn, and their family serve with the Hope for Reno church planting team (MBC/ODBM) in Reno, Nevada.
